Superchess

Manual

Introduction

The main purpose of Superchess is to provide an interesting mental stimulation through an activity that incorporates the development of tactics, analyzes, calculations, imagination and memory. Superchess is the only product of its kind that decreases the chances of draw, a result of providing a more dinamic playing style from the opening.
In the first part of Superchess referred to the initial position of the pieces seen in item # 2 of the Rules of the Game, was the first thing that was adjusted to include the "chess composition", if you look closely there are many books based compositions and the first step is to develop completely clean leaving the board to form plays in order to troubleshoot checkmate or any of the draw situations.
Another technical aspect of the game is to check concerning the escape of King with castling or stop by check during castling, referred to in item # 5.1 of the Rules of the game.
When playing chess, contrary part may go through a line, column or diagonal giving check the king without being taken into account, so Superchess presents a more dynamic King which fits Chess concept with the aim of achieving a box no attacked.
That's why Superchess has a clean board with the kings started and ready to begin a game of composition with the participation of two opponents.
The space reserved mentioned in item # 6 Rules of the game was developed with the aim of providing some protection to the King without denying that it can be beaten much easier and faster.
For annotation system plays a method coincide with the provisions for chess was used, we refer to the symbology for placement: (0) zero, which was finally an idea borrowed short castling (0-0), based on the action of moving two pieces at the same time in a play, as long castling (0-0-0) to move two pieces in a play but using a longer space and how they see it is so matching:
0
0-0
0-0-0
I want the big family of Chess continue to grow for the benefit of strengthen in terms of educational, mental and Entertainment.

Product Description & Review

This section describes the parts and benefits of the new invention.
Superchess consists of three (3) separate parts: (Fig. A).
1 - Board Superchess
2- 16 White Pieces
3- 16 Black Pieces

Game Benefits

1- There is not the advantage of opening.
2- From the first play you can place any of the 16 pieces (white or black) in any of the 64 squares on the board. (Exception Rules).
3- The chances are minimal draw.
4- Chess Compositions are possible in this game.
5- It is difficult to establish a theoretical definition of openings and defenses.
6- It is a challenge to the machines.

"Superchess" is played by two opponents on a chessboard with thirty-two (32) white / black pieces, as shown in the figure above (fig. A). The two players alternate and place their pieces in an appropriate style placing pieces from the outside as if preparing a composition using capture methods including castling either placement or original form, all with the end goal of "checkmate" the defiant King.

 1- The Board Superchess

The unique design of this type has a more elongated board (fig. B) to organize the pieces from outside allowing the player to have the 64 squares of the board to develop the game.

                                                                                                             (fig. B)

The board Superchess is located between two players so that the box in the corner to the right of each opponent is white.

2- The Pieces:

The pieces are the same as those used in the Chess game.
The initial position of the pieces on the Superchess board is as follow:
- The King starts the game placed in the original square, (e1) white, (e8) black.
- This is the first move of the game (not scores), (fig.C).

                                                                                                (fig.C)

3- The game.

-The Player with the white pieces begins the game.
-A Player is said to have the move when his opponent´s move has been made.
- Placement: is the act of putting into play a piece on the board and is annotated
with the symbol (0) zero.
-The Players alternate in making a play at a time until the game is finished.

4- The general definition of the play.

-A Move is: placing a piece to a square which is vacant or occupied by an
opponent's piece.
-The Castling on tower placement is considered a play and recorded in the same
original form (0-0), (0-0-0).
-No Part except the tower castling and the horse can pass through a square
occupied by another piece.
-A Piece played to a square occupied by an opponent's piece capture as part of the
same move, it must be immediately removed from the board.
Draws:
The game ends in a draw if any of these conditions occur:
-Insufficient material.
- Fifty moves have been played by each player without any capture or a pawn
being moved.
- The game is automatically a draw if the player to move is not in check but has no
legal move. This situation is called a Stalemate.
- The same board position has occurred three times

5.1- The King:

a) Except when castling, the king moves to any adjoining square that is not
attacked by an opponent's piece.
b) Castling is a move of the king and either tower, which is counted as one and
runs as follows: the king is transferred from its original square two squares toward
either of the towers on the same line, then the tower is placed in the box
immediately adjacent thereto.
c) Castling is illegal:
- If the King has already been moved
- With a tower that has already been placed or moved out of its original box.
d) Castling is not prevented:
If the original box of the King or which must pass is attacked by an opponent's
piece.
e) Castling is prevented for the moment:
If there is any piece between the King and the Rook with which he goes to castle.

5.2- The Queen:

Start the game standing on the original white square (d1) and (d8) black at the
desired time. This can move any number of horizontal, vertical or diagonal
squares. See Diagram.

5.3- The rock:

Start the game standing at any spot on the board.
It moves any cell in the same row or column where she is. This also moves in
castling.

5.4- The Knight:

Start the game standing at any spot on the board. The move of the Knight is
composed of two different steps: first goes two squares as the Rock and then a
square perpendicular to that. The horse moves in "L"

5.5- The Bishop:

The bishop starts the game place in any square of the superchess board. Moves any
number of vacant square in diagonal direction.

5.6- The Pawns:

Pawns starts the game place in any square from the second, third or fourth line.
Moves forward one square if that square is unoccupied.
If a pawn is place in the second line its move one or two square same to the chess.
Pawn is the only pieces that capture differently from how they move.
In passant: If a player “B” ´s pawn can capture “A” ´s as if “A” ´s pawn had only
moved one square. This capture can only be made on the immediately subsequent
move.
Pawn promotion: If a pawn advances to its eight rank is then promoted
(converted) to a Queen, Rock, Bishop or Knight of the same color.

5.7- Check:

Is when one or more opposing pieces could theoretically capture the King on the
next move (although the King is never actually capture) if a player´s King is in
check then the player must make a move that eliminates the threat.

5.8- The Checkmate:

- Checkmate: If a player’s King is in check and there is no legal move that player
can make to escape check then the King is said to be checkmate, the game ends and
the player loses.

6- The reserved spaces:

Consider reserved spaces to the squares that imaginary occupied by the pieces of
each side as in chess to the initial game (fig. D)

                                                                                                        (fig.D)

The capture in reserved space: A player has the possibility to catch an opponent’s
piece in the corresponding square of the reserved space.

a)- If a player moved the Queen from the Original Square (d1) white or (d8)
black, then the opponent has the right to occupy with the convenient piece
that square without being captured by the reserved space.
b)-If a player already placed both rooks and one of these or both is outside
to the original (rooks) square, the opponent has right to occupy with the
convenient piece any vacant (rooks) square, without being captured by the
reserved space.
c)-If a player already placed both knights and one or both is outside to the
original (knights)square then the opponent has the right to occupy with any
piece any vacant (knights) square, without being captured by the reserved
space.
d) -If a player already both bishop and one or both is outside to the origin
(bishop square then the opponent has the right to occupy with any pieces the
vacant square, without being captured by reserve space.
-Bishops must be placed on squares of different color but if a bishop is
captured and
there is still another bishop to place this can occupy a square of any color.
e) - If a player has all his pawns on the Superchess board, the opponent has the
right to occupy any original vacant (pawns) square without being captured by the
reserved space.
f) -If the King square is vacant then it can be occupy by any pieces without being
captured by the reserve space.

7- Resigning

Both player may resign at any time and the opponent wins the game.
The result of the game is 1-0 if black resigns or 0-1 if white resigns.

8- Draw

The game ends in a draw if any of these conditions occur:
-Insufficient material.
- Fifty moves have been played by each player without any capture or a pawn
being moved.
- The game is automatically a draw if the player to move is not in check but has no
legal move. This situation is called Stalemate.
- The same board position has occurred three times.

9- Recording moves:

- Algebraic notation (fig. E).

-The move for to place (0) zero, for example a pawn place in square (b2) is (0-b2).

See Diagram.
